SSG Solutions Center to Showcase Best of Breed Security Technology Companies

(New York, N.Y., Washington, D.C. – May 05, 2010) We are proud to announce that Secure Strategy Group (SSG) has launched the SSG Solutions Center.

The SSG Solutions Center was established to showcase best of breed small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the security technology industry. The challenges of combating modern terrorism, natural disasters and crime demand advanced digital, networked and web-based technologies that were largely absent in the pre-9/11 security world, and SMEs have stepped up as innovators. Since 9/11, such companies have won contracts against larger competitors that would have been unlikely years ago. We believe that SMEs in the security technology arena will continue to lead the industry forward.

However, while many such companies focus on selling technology solutions to the public sector, few have offices or staff in the Washington, D.C. region. We believe that this limits the ability to have a successful federal sales effort, and makes it difficult for regional buyers (government agencies, prime contractors, systems integrators) to “touch and feel” these solutions. This is why we established the SSG Solutions Center at the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), a world-class office complex located less than five minutes from Dulles Airport, right in the heart of Washington, D.C.’s technology corridor.

The companies represented are chosen because they provide applications in prevention, notification, tracking, analysis and response, enabling an “end to end” approach to critical infrastructure protection. The Solutions Center facilitates the review of these technologies by integrating them into scenario-based solutions that demonstrate actual capabilities in real world environments. These companies represent some of the fastest growing sectors in homeland security, including Intelligent Video Surveillance, Network Security, Sensor Management Software, Biometric Access Control, CBRNE Detection and Secure Wireless Communications.
